Reiki School Day 14: Energies

How are you doing? How's the class so far? Don't hesitate to drop me an email (capucine.fachot@gmail.com)

Today I'd like to talk about something quite significant.

"Levels of energy."

In most talks about anything in the world, we use categories. That's how we classify and make sense of the world.

This behavior means this.

That action means that.

You are a "..."

There's adjectives that pulls us up, and others that brings us down.

Because we are constantly under the pending next adjective, it can seem like a salvation or a threat.

In many ways, we see astrology content try to define us based on our rising sign, sun sign, moon sign... and it is very often lacking of depth, and of complexities.

In reality we are everything, and we embody different waves depending on a multitude of context, environment, past wounds, future aspirations and so on...

While defining who we are can be of tremendous help, it can also be really painful. While being defined by someone else can help us believe in something, it can also destroy our self-esteem. I often see it as giving people outside of you a remote control to your well-being. It took years for me to get out of that, and while I still have phantom behaviors that pull me back in, I've learnt to take that remote control back, and be the only one to set who I want to be while staying very honest and aware of who I show up as through my actions, day after day.

Wow, this was a tangent.

What the class today is about is: energies.

They are categorizing as if there were categories, which implies a codification, or a scale for such categories.

While being on this planet, we have duality, this or that, good or bad, small or big, beautiful and ugly.

This implies there is a conscious observer (a third dimension) that sees both. And while the choice appears to be obvious, we want good, beautiful, smart etc... It's wiser to not cast judgements between the options.

It's all a spectrum, like a tipping scale, they are not against each other, but on an axis that means they are linked, connected. Sometimes you'll be there, other times, you'll be here.

And so, I want you to see that it's not an up or down, not a vertical scale, (beautiful is above ugly for example), but a horizontal one, where you get to play and explore each axis without judgement. And to stay discerning with the rhetoric that this is better than... Who's to say?

In spirituality there's a lot of talk about love & light, about becoming peaceful, serene, "good vibes only", high vibrational frequencies while casting a harsh light on anger, defending one self, attacking those who harm others...

Everything is worthy of your exploration. Everything serves a purpose. We need each part of the tipping scale, one can't exist without the other.

Let me give you an example: I'm often confused. It's part of my disposition. I consider all options and don't choose right away.

People insist I gather clarity and make a choice, but is that wise?

My confusion allows for patience, for considered options, maybe a new one might show up.

Or maybe that is called confusion, but it's really processing in a multiverse type of way all the energies from each option before I integrate, and go towards one of them.

So, if they mention a Gemini being this or that, and it's your sign, don't take it to heart, don't accept it and "download" that information into your being. Challenge it, see if it resonates, pick and choose.

And also, this or that being an adjective can have other definitions and be part of a spectrum you have yet to explore, what would be another way to express that energy? How can you channel your need for (for example: self-expression) in a way so that it

All to say; don't be fatalistic with (your) adjectives and categories, and please know it's all energies, you get to choose, you get to pick and remove what doesn't suit you.

Feel free to do this around every new cycle of yours.

You have free will.

And so, have fun in your daily practice, embrace the parts you deny, run towards the adjectives that bug you, try them mentally, astrally until you're done with them.

The "good" ones and the "bad" ones.
